Fees will vary, depending on the tasks requested to perform and the skill needed. Generally the rates will be set by agreement, unless they are set by statute.
Probate: Fees are set by statute as a percentage of the gross value of the estate.
Conservatorship/Guardianship: Fees are on a per-hour basis, as guided by the Probate Code and the California Rules of Court. Those fees are requested by petition and are approved by the court.
Trusts and "Special Needs" Trusts: Fees may be a percentage of the estate, or billed on a "per hour" basis, depending on the size of the estate, the tasks required, and the level of skill needed for those administrative tasks.
Power of Attorney or Representative Payee: Fees are billed on a per-hour basis.
Notary services: Fees are set by statute, at $10 per notarial act.
